Looking beyond symptoms to uncover the true cause of pain.
Hi, I’m Danny Cheng.
I am a Physiotherapist trained here in Malaysia (MAHSA University), and I’ve been in clinical practice for over 15 years, having graduated in 2010.
My Practice
If there’s one thing my patients tell me, it’s that they feel I genuinely take the time to listen and understand their problem. We’ve all had that experience of seeing a practitioner for five minutes, getting a quick diagnosis, and leaving without truly understanding what is wrong. I take a different approach.
The “Investigator” Approach
I don’t rush. I see myself as an investigator. I often say to my patients, “Let’s test it and see what we can find.”
I know that pain is rarely caused by just one isolated structure. For example, your knee pain might not just be about the cartilage—it could be influenced by how your hip moves or how your lower back handles a load. My goal is to connect these dots for you. I want to explain the “why” in a way that is logical and convincing, so you leave the room understanding your own body.
More About Me
My Toolkit & Expertise
I believe strictly in ‘Quality over Quantity’. I would rather spend our session ensuring you have perfect control over one simple movement than rushing you through ten exercises with poor form.
To help you recover, I combine hands-on manual therapy with technology and specific movement correction. My background includes:
* Manual Therapy & Soft Tissue Manipulation: To release tension and improve mobility.
* GEMt Dry Needling (Level 1): Targeted relief for muscle pain.
* Kinesio Taping: To support your movement between sessions.
* Geriatric Care: Helping older adults move with confidence.
I also value trust over sales. I prefer that we work together for a session or two to see how your body responds to the treatment before we discuss any long-term packages.
A Little About Me
Outside of the clinic, I describe myself as a calm and curious thinker. I’ve recently been exploring mindfulness to better understand the mind-body connection. I’m also a father to a 4-year-old daughter; navigating parenthood has taught me a deeper level of patience and the importance of taking small, consistent steps—values that I naturally bring into my clinical work as well.
If you are looking for a physiotherapist who will assess you thoroughly and explain things clearly, I’d be happy to help.
